Learning Through Play @ RVCPL

Sign up for the following programs begins one week before for RVC cardholders and one day before for all others.

Baby Gymboree
Thursday, November 13 at 10:30 am
Newborns – 7 months
Gymboree hosts a fun morning of music, exploration, and play for babies.

Music for Aardvarks
Saturday, November 22 at 10:30 am
Ages 18 months – 5 years
Join our special guests and rock out at the library in this spirited children’s music program!

Mommy & Me Craft
Monday, November 24 at 10 am
Ages 3 – 5
Kids make a Thanksgiving craft with the help of their grown-up.

Rhyme Time
Friday, November 14 & December 12 at 10 am
Ages 4 – 14 months with a parent/caregiver
Playtime and circle time for babies.

Library Play Date
Tuesday, November 18 & December 9 at 10:30 am
Ages 15 – 38 months with a parent/caregiver
Enjoy free play in an unstructured environment. Meet up with old friends and make new ones!

Play Hooray!
Saturday, December 20 at 10:30 am
Ages 18 months – 5 years
Molly Mouse returns to the library! Sing, dance, and join in lively movement activities.

The following programs are 5-week sessions. Siblings up to age 5 are welcome. Registration for RVC cardholders begins Monday, September 15 at 9am. Bring your library card and proof of your child’s age. If space permits, non-RVC cardholders may sign up on Wednesday, October 1. Children must be the specified age for the program by October 1.

1-2-3 Play With Me
Thursdays, October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 9:30 am
Ages 1 – 3 years with a parent/caregiver
Play together and learn through play. Enjoy our great toys, followed by circle time with a librarian. Different early childhood experts will be available at each session to discuss your child’s development, nutrition, speech and language, and movement.

Mother Goose
Thursdays, October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 11:00 am
Ages 15 – 38 months with a parent/caregiver
A playtime series for children who have “graduated” from 1-2-3 Play With Me. A special place for you and your child to have fun playing together, listening to stories, singing songs, and joining in circle time.
